Small Pet CarrierJan 05, 2011

This was purchased off the Amazon website from an independant seller (DEF Home Products - fast shipping).
This was for a small puppy (Chihuahua), so the review will reflect this.
Packaging - The item was folded flat and wrapped in clear plastic bag. This was shipped inside a FedEx cardboard box (making note of this if it is going to be a present).
Item Quality - The material that was used was durable, the color (redish pink) was perfect for my daughter, the zipper pull came off the first few times of using the zipper (you have to pull hard to zip it up) although this was fixed by putting the zipper pull back in place and using pliers to secure it better to the zipper.
Item Usability - This is not to replace a crate when traveling long distances in a vehicle, this is best suited for carrying the dog out in public. The bottom has a hard piece that you insert, this keeps the bottom shape while carrying, but the sides do not having anything to keep them steady (the material does a good job of keeping them upright) so you can squueze the dog if your not careful.
Value - Compared to the carriers from local pet retail stores, this was an excellent price and most carriers I saw locally where canvas type material, I liked the heavy material of this item.
Size - While I am not an expert on dog carrier size needs, I would suggest that only smaller dogs use this.
Item Accessories - This item has a pocket on the side of the carrier and a small bag that you can attach to the carrier or strap (this carrier has standard handles and. To carry a few small treats and couple of plastic bags for waste we found the attached small bag to be more useful than the side pocket (for both space available and ease of open/closing).
I am satisfied with this product, I would recommend to others to purchase.

GOT THIS CARRIER IN BLACK LARGE SIZE... MY 5 POUND YORKIE HAS PLENTY OF ROOM AND VENTILATION. APPEARS TO BE WELL MADE AND PRETTY TO LOOK AT.

I like this product, however, it is too flimsy and collapses very easily on my dog. I just wish it was more sturdy.

I have been looking at this carrier on a couple of websites and this was the best price. The color is a much brighter pink (not red) then the picture, but still very cute! I bought the medium size for my 10 lb. "Teddy Bear" puppy, Sophie and she fits perfectly. If this were going to be used on a regular basis Id probably want something made a little better but for the occasional plane trip it will be great and stylish! I love it!

"Sooner fan"
I purchased this for my Malshi, Greta. It was supposed to be pink but is a weird reddish silver color. Overall, other than the color and the zipper not working well, it's okay. I would probably not purchase it again but feel the price was good.
